How do I clean my silver chain with out paying for it?
I have a silver necklace that needs to be cleaned and most people want money to clean it. How do I clean it my self to look like new?

Buy some washing soda –http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V9KW5I/ref=nosim?ie=UTF8&tag=finishingcominc — available in the laundry aisle of most grocery stores.
Put your silver in a dish lined with aluminum foil, add some (about 1 Tablespoon) Washing Soda, and pour boiling water over to cover. Allow to soak until cool, drain and rinse silver under clean water, brushing with a soft tooth brush if needed. Lots, if not all, tarnish will be gone. repeat if necessary. NOTE: All parts of silver you want to clean must be in direct contact with the aluminum foil.
