Wood Herman Big Band Song?
I’m in this community jazz band, and after our last gig for the winter, i was talking to the director, and he mentioned that over the summer, he wants to play a piece by woody herman that was for solo flute, solo bassoon or bass clarinet, and jazz band. he then inquired if i would like to cover the bass clarinet part, since we dont currently have anyone playing that. does anybody know the name of this song?
Don’t know that there’s a particular solo in it, but Woody Herman’s most famous song has to be “Woodchopper’s Ball”
