Where can I get a reasonably priced diamond solitaire engagement ring?
Me and my boyfriend have been shopping for a white gold solitaire ring but I wondered if there were any discount sites where I could get more diamond for my money (well, his money) – we’ve got around 650 pounds to spend but I’m not up on the retailers to be trusted with a purchase this big. Please help!
I used to work in a jewelry store in my youth, and they all have the same 200 percent markup and they buy from the same sources. Go into each store and politely ask to speak to the manager as he has the authority to discount merchandise and ask for a 33 percent reduction in price. If he does not give it to you, try the next store until you get the discount. This works best during slow sales seasons when the manager is desperate to make his sales quota.
